The New York Islanders (24-20-7) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (27-20-4)) 3-2 in overtime on Saturday night at Amalie Arena.
Trailing 2-1 late in the third period, Nikita Kucherov scored with 0:33 seconds left to tie the game 2-2. Tony DeAngelo scored in overtime to lift the Islanders to the win.
The Lightning are next in action when they host the Ottawa Senators for the next two games beginning on Tuesday night. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Tuesday at Amalie Arena.
