BOISE, Idaho – A 15-0 run midway through the first half gave Boise State a comfortable 17-point lead on Saturday afternoon at ExtraMile Arena. Fresno State dropped its seventh straight road game, 82-60.
Brian Amuneke finished with a team-high 16 points on 6-of-13 shooting. The Broncos had five players finish in double figures, led by Andrew Meadow's 20.
How It Happened
Tight through the opening four minutes, Boise State began to open some space on the scoreboard through a 7-0 spurt. Buckets from Brian Amuneke and Alex Crawford pulled four back, but the Broncos struck back, knocking down six of their next eight shots in a 15-0 run.
A free throw from Mor Seck with 7:39 on the clock ended the near-five-minute drought. A layup though from Tyson Degenhart followed, pushing the Broncos' lead to 16. Amuneke scored the Bulldogs' next eight points to bring the 'Dogs back within 13.
Boise State finished with five of the final seven points of the half, taking their largest lead of the opening 20 minutes into the locker room at 44-26.
With the deficit standing at 17 six minutes, buckets on back-to-back possessions from the Bulldogs, the second on a spin and floater from Amuneke forced a timeout out of the Broncos' bench with a score at 52-39 with 13:06 remaining.
Out of the break, Boise State extended its lead to 20 four minutes later with an 11-4 stretch. The Bulldogs called a timeout following Andrew Meadow's corner 3 that gave the Broncos a 63-43 lead with 9:06 on the clock.
Boise State led by as much as 27 with 3:58 to play.

Fresno State dropped its fourth straight game in Boise, and sixth straight in the series.
Fresno State lost its seven straight road game, and ninth consecutive away from home.
Brian Amuneke had a game-high 16 points. It was his second time leading the Bulldogs in scoring in the last four games.
Amuneke has scored in double figures in three of the last four games.
Alex Crawford reached double figures for the eighth time in the last nine games, scoring 11 points.
Crawford also dished out a career-high four assists.
Elijah Price finished with 11 points, his 11th game in double figures.
Zaon Collins matched his season high on the glass with seven rebounds.
