CNN 'unnamed sources' report Pentagon opposition to Trump's border order

The American people put down a clear mandate in November that they want President Trump to secure our southern border. In the two weeks that he has been in office, he has come through on that promise he made, and then some, arresting thousands of criminal illegal aliens, and sending them back from whence they came. He has also ordered American troops to assist at the border and help border patrol secure our country.

But as you will always expect with the political Washington, there are reports from CNN that there is opposition lingering within the Pentagon on Trump's plans. Specifically, surrounding the order that troops head down to protect our southern border. In CNN fashion as well, the story mentioned 'unnamed sources within the Department of Defense,' which immediately casts doubt on the story.

Beth Brelje of the Federalist says regardless of who feels what, it is not stopping Trump's push.

"The American people want immigration to be sorted out...so anyone at the Pentagon who might be running interference needs to get with the program," she says.

The report says that many of these 'unnamed sources' have said people are running smokescreens to try and either halt or slow down the process. While that seems shocking, that is just what we have come to expect from Washington. People want change, and politicians will do anything they can do avoid that change.

This is not the first time the deep state DOD has tried misleading or obstructing Trump's orders. In 2019, they told Trump there were 200 troops in Syria, when it was actually closer to 900. So, this is nothing new for Trump to handle.

Now there is a law in the United States which limits the amount of force that the military can display on American soil. In short, they are not able to arrest any illegal border crossers. But they do serve as an extra set of eyes, and maybe most critical of all, a deterrence.

Complain or try to interfere as much as they may, it has not done much. Troops are still going to the border and following the executive order.

"There are 1,500 active-duty personnel from the Army and Marines deployed last week to the border helping supplement the 2,500 already there," she says.

It is the dawn of a new era in America. Try as they may, this Trump term is different. The train is moving forward, and any dissenting voices still left need to get on board.
