FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State swim and dive prepare to honor their senior class in the final home meet of the 2024-25 season on Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Fresno State Aquatics Center at 12 p.m. PT. THE SENIOR CLASS

Fresno State will honor ten seniors on Saturday afternoon, Madison Caserio, Wiktoria Dabrowska, Sera Hanagan, Sara Lucchini, Julia Matney, Samarah Melia, Abigail Rousseau, Cheyanne Summers, Korrie Tengan and Katie Ueda. Nine of the ten seniors spent all four years at Fresno State.

Caserio spent all four years as a Bulldog and hails from Gilbert, Ariz. Caserio is also a Bulldogs that saw three MWC appearances. Was a two-time consolation finalist in the 200 Breaststroke and 1650 Freestyle her junior season and a two-time finalist in the 500 and 1650 freestyle her sophomore season. In her debut season she swam in the 500, 200 and 1650 freestyle. Named Academic All-Mountain West twice (2021, 2022)

Dabrowska is a seven time Mountain West Championship finalist and was named to the All-MW team four times. The Warsaw, Poland native holds three program relay records, four All-MW conference honors, two all-time top 5 times (100 & 200 freestyle). On the academic side Dabrowska was named Academic All-MW in 2022.

Hangan is one of the more recent program record holders. The Arizona native broke the program record in the 200 IM at the 2024 Mountain West Championships The individual medley record shot Hanagan straight into the all-time top 5, sitting at right at No. 1. The senior adds on two more all-time top 5 events in the 400 IM and 200 butterfly. The IM'ers performance at MWC earned her an All-MW conference honor (400 IM). Hanagan is strong on the academic side as well after being named to the CSC Scholar All-America 2nd Team (2024), CSC Academic All-District (2024) and three-time Academic All-MW. Hanagan is also a team captain for the 2024-25 season.

Lucchini has spent all four years as a Bulldog. The Italian native saw two MWC appearances in her time as a Bulldog. Saw back-to-back season bests in the 100 butterfly at the MWC in her freshman and sophomore seasons. Lucchini was also a part of the fifth place 200 Medley Relay team at the MW Championships. On the academic side, she was a two-time Academic All-MW.

Matney is a two-time record breaker this season for a relay and individual record. This season Matney broke the individual record in the 100 IM against Pepperdine. Following the same meet, Matney was a part of the 400 medley relay that broke an Aquatic Center record. It was a historic relay as they are now the first Fresno State relay to break an Aquatic Center record that is not UC Berkeley, since 2018. The Colorado native now has three program records to her name. Her performance against Pepperdine tabbed her a MW Swimmer of the Week Honor, her first since freshman year. The senior totals three All-MW honors, three Academic All-MW honors and one all-time top five time (100 butterfly). Matney is also a team captain for the 2024-25 season.

Melia has cemented herself well within the record books at Fresno State. The Sydney native holds four all-time top 5 records, three program relay records and four All-MW conference honors. On the academic side, Melia was named Academic All-MW in all four years.

Rousseau has been described by her teammates as the 'rock' of the program, as one of the team's biggest supporters. The Italian native has spent her four years here at Fresno State. Rousseau has had a strong season so far with a season-high third place finish in the 200 backstroke against Pepperdine and a season best swim at the Utah Tech Trailblazer Invite.

Summers was a two-time MW championship finalist her sophomore year. The junior is graduating early with a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Behavioral Science. Summers was named Academic All-MW (2023).

Tengan is one of three captains this season. The stroke specialist is one of the few to see a Mountain West Championship appearance every year thus far. She was a two-time finalist her sophomore year and a two-time consolation finalist her junior year in both the 400 IM and 200 butterfly. The Hawaiian reigns strong on the academic side as a three-time Academic All-MW and two-time CSC Academic All-District.

Ueda is also one of the Bulldogs who saw an appearance at the MWC in her first three years. The butterflies saw two bonus finals in last season's championships in the 200 & 400 IM, both good for personal bests. Her sophomore season saw a finals appearance at Mountain West Championships in 400 IM, setting a season best and earning a NICB cut. The Washington native is also a three-time Academic All-MW.

ONE MORE AT HOME

Fresno State is set for their final dual meet of the season and will begin to prepare for the 2025 Mountain West Championships in Houston beginning on Feb. 19- 22 at the CRWC Natatorium.

Bulldogs hold a 1-0 dual meet record at the Aquatics Center and a 4-1 dual meet record this season.
