Water main working again in Norton Shores after earlier break

UPDATE: The city says the water main has been repaired and the water is back on again.

---

NORTON SHORES, Mich. -- The City of Norton Shores says a water main has been shut off on East Hile Road due to a broken pipe.

The water is off on that road between Harding and McKinley courts. At the time of this report mid-afternoon Thursday, crews remained on site working to restore service.

The city said there was no estimated time for the completion of the repair work and restoration of services, but that it would provide more details as soon as they were available.

A spokeswoman for the city's Water & Sewer Division told WOOD Radio the water main break occurred sometime after noon Thursday. She was not sure how many customers in that area were impacted.
