Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington react to UNC and former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick suggesting the idea of renaming the Super Bowl Vince Lombardi Trophy to the Tom Brady Trophy. The guys debate whether this is something that could actually happen, and Rob explains why Tom Brady and Bill Belichick should never be connected to a trophy—ever!
Rob Parker:
“People don’t admire that run like they should because of all the question marks. They should be revered, but they’re NOT because people don’t feel good about the Patriots. There’s something sleazy about it! It’s like something you’d want to wash your hands after touching.”
Kelvin Washington:
“I don’t think any of us believe the Patriots are without blame, or that their hands are clean—that’s for sure! The only thing similar to the Astros is that sometimes you don’t see teams going too hard on others because if I go too crazy on you, it ends up being ‘What have you been doing?’”
