Alex has new audio from Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department bodycams of two deputies checking a seemingly evacuated senior living apartment in Altadena when the wildfires broke out. As they search the dark, smoky halls without any electricity, they hear a faint voice and they run toward it. There is a 100-year-old woman standing with her walker saying “Don’t lose me!” She tells them she did not hear the evacuation because she didn’t have her hearing aids in. They were on the charger. It’s unclear how she got left behind but they got her to safety. Alex will play the audio.
