Coldplay's recent two-night stint in Ahmedabad, India ended up being one for the record books. According to a press release, the concerts at Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday (January 25) and Sunday (January 26) were not only the biggest of the band's career but also ended up setting a world record as the largest stadium shows of the 21st century, with an astonishing 220,000 fans showing up.

The band shared a photo of the massive crowd on X, writing: "Thank you Ahmedabad, thank you India. We’ll never forget these two weeks. Your love and kindness will stay with us forever."

Coldplay are currently on their "Music of the Spheres" world tour, which was revealed to be the second-highest-grossing tour of 2024, behind only Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. The tour first launched in 2022 and grossed $421.7 million over the past year alone. Later this year, the band plans to break another record with this tour when they play Wembley Stadium over the summer. The added dates bring their total at the iconic venue up to 10, which breaks Swift's current record of eight. Coldplay's currently on tour in support of their latest album, Moon Music, which came out last fall.
