Palm Beach, FL - A man is in custody after allegedly scaling a wall to gain unauthorized access to former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach.
Authorities say 32-year-old Bijan Arceo, a real estate agent from Colorado, was arrested and charged with trespassing with the intent to commit an offense.
The incident unfolded on Tuesday when officers from the Palm Beach Police Department were called to the exclusive resort to assist U.S. Secret Service agents who had detained Arceo on the property.
According to the arrest affidavit, Arceo reportedly entered the Mar-a-Lago premises by climbing over a wall near the north service gate off South Ocean Boulevard.
Agents noted that he did not pass through the sweep area, nor was he granted permission to enter the resort.
The affidavit highlights that the property is marked with numerous "No Trespassing" signs and is secured with tall gates that remain closed when not in use.
Agents observed Arceo scaling the wall south of the closed gate before apprehending him on the property.
Following the incident, Arceo was taken into custody by law enforcement.
Public records reveal that Arceo is a licensed real estate agent based in Colorado, according to Zillow.
The Secret Service and Palm Beach Police continue to investigate the breach, which raises concerns about security measures at the high-profile residence of the former president.
