The 2025 Albany Chefs' Food and Wine Festival begins tonight (January 23) at the New York State Museum in Albany, New York. The festival kicks off with the Mayor's Reception at 5:30 p.m., featuring hors d'oeuvres from Nicole’s Catering paired with wines, cider, and champagne. The event will continue through Sunday (January 25), offering a variety of culinary experiences, including the Slider Slam competition, where attendees can vote for their favorite slider, and the Battle of the Bartenders to determine the best cocktail. Events will also take place at Hattie's Restaurant and the Capital Center.
The festival aims to provide sustainable funding for Albany's not-for-profit arts community, with all net income donated to deserving organizations. This year's beneficiaries include the Albany Center Gallery, Black Theatre Troupe, Capital Repertory Theatre, and Palace Performing Arts Center, among others. The festival also honors community and culinary trailblazers with the Ms. Hattie’s ChangeMaker awards.
