Early this morning, the suburbs of Salt Lake City, Utah were rocked by a mysterious boom that has left baffled authorities scratching their heads. According to a local media report, the puzzling incident occurred at around 3 AM when people in the communities surrounding the state's capital city were suddenly roused from their sleep by a monstrous explosion. Police departments in the area were soon flooded with calls from concerned residents and local social media was understandably buzzing about the bewildering boom. Footage of the odd moment, captured by a home security system, shows the night sky briefly lit up by an enormous flash followed by the sound of a massive explosion.
