The Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2025 was announced yesterday and Ichiro Suzuki fell a single vote shy of being a unanimous selection. Dan is mystified by the power the baseball writers wield and thinks the votes should be made public so we can identify who is abusing that power. He thinks it’s a much more complicated process than it needs to be and it should be more transparent.
Dan Patrick: “I do think your vote should be public. I have a problem if somebody says he’s not a Hall of Famer his first year, but his seventh year he’s a Hall of Famer. I just think if I say your name then that should tell me what you think of that player...and the baseball writers; they wield all the power here.”
