Colt Ford shared what’s next for him in 2025 after suffering a near-fatal heart attack last year.

The country singer-songwriter posted a video on Instagram on Tuesday (January 21). Ford, 54, said in that statement that he’s “gonna be back out on the road this year. The devil couldn’t keep me down, baby. …I’ll see y’all on the road.”

Ford, who was born in Athens, Georgia, was “under care in the Intensive Care Unit at the Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona,” per a press release issued after the country artist’s heart attack on April 4. Ford had a heart attack after taking the stage at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row location in Gilbert, Arizona.

On April 24, 2024, Ford shared an update in a video on Instagram. He promised at that time that he would return to the stage; however, he noted that it likely wouldn’t be in 2024.

“I just wanna tell you guys thank y’all for all the prayers, the love, the kind comments, the messages. I got a long way to go,” Ford said in that video. “I hate I gotta miss all these shows. But I’m coming back. I am coming back. I just love you guys so much. …Make sure you take care of yourself. Things can sneak up on you. But know that I’m coming back. I’m coming back, I promise you.”

Ford, who joined Brantley Gilbert on stage at his album release party in September 2024, lists upcoming performances on his website, including stops in Illinois, Georgia, South Carolina and other destinations. See his announcement here:
