Houston Airports are Open Again

After shutting down for Winter Storm Enzo, Bush and Hobby Airports are open once again. But there is some fine print. Check your flight before you leave for the airport.

Flight Aware is tracking mass delays and cancellations nationwide thanks to the storm and bad weather in other parts of the country.

You can track delays out of Bush HERE.

You can keep an eye on delays and cancellations out of Hobby HERE.

Flight operations have been suspended at Houston's two major airports since last night due to snow and sleet, as a strong cold weather system moved through Southeast Texas.

Houston Airport System Director of Aviation Jim Szczesniak said Sunday evening that travelers with existing travel plans will need to contact the airline from which tickets were purchased to find out about re-booking.

He added that travelers will need to refrain from driving to the airport during the flight suspension period.

"We've coordinated with our airline partners and for Tuesday the airport will be closed.

"The airlines have implemented their travel waiver programs, so you do have the ability to go to your airline and change your flights without change fees, so be sure to go to your airline to find out about that."

A reopening decision was made today, with both airports set to reopen tomorrow morning at 9am.
