Jessica Alba has broken her silence on the news of her divorce from Cash Warren and is opening up about the breakup on social media.

In a statement shared to her Instagram, Alba said, "I've been on a journey of self realization and transformation for years — both as an individual and in partnership with Cash. I'm proud of how we've grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years and it's now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals. We are moving forward with love and kindness and respect for each other and will forever be family. Our children remain our highest priority and we request privacy at this time."

News of Jessica and Cash's breakup first hit a week ago as reports of their separation made the rounds, which noted that the couple was heading toward divorce. Recently, the couple has been spotted without their wedding rings, with Jessica attending a pre-Golden Globes party in West Hollywood without her husband, and again, without her wedding ring. Cash also been spotted without Jessica and without his wedding ring.

Jessica and Cash met while filming Fantastic Four in 2004 and tied the knot four years later in May 2008. They share three children together — Honor (16), Haven (13) and Hayes (7). The couple had a courthouse wedding in Beverly Hills, although it is not known if a prenup was signed. Alba is behind the billion-dollar brand, The Honest Company.
