A Republican-backed package of bills to preserve the tipped wage system in Michigan is moving to the full House for consideration.
House Bills 4001 and 4002 would keep the tipped wage in place and exempt some small businesses from certain sick time reforms.
Michigan is only weeks away from beginning to phase out the tipped wage.
The future of the package is uncertain in the Democrat-controlled Senate.
