Applications are now open for those wishing to participate in the Utica Saint Patrick's Day Parade, scheduled for Saturday (March 15). As the third-largest Saint Patrick's Day parade in New York, the event draws over 30,000 spectators and features more than 5,000 marchers. Participants can apply online, with the deadline set for March 1.
The parade, which is entirely funded by sponsors and nonprofit organizations, also seeks volunteers and donations. According to the parade's official website, all donations are tax-deductible. The parade will begin at Oneida Square and proceed north on Genesee Street, ending with a turn onto Columbia Street.
In addition to the parade, several pre-parade events are planned, including the Shamrock Laying Ceremony on March 11 and the "Passing of the Shillelagh" celebration on March 8. A big announcement is expected on January 25, as noted by the parade organizers.
