Jon Pardi shared a behind-the-scenes look at his newly-premiered “Friday Night Heartbreaker” music video on Instagram on Thursday evening (January 9). The country star filmed the “dark and thrilling” visual in historic Printer’s Alley in Nashville, Tennessee
“You never know what you’ll find in Printer’s Alley at 2am,” Pardi exclaimed in his caption as he offered glimpses of the Jim Wright-directed video. Some of the behind-the-scenes shots included the fiery stunt work, the Grand Ole Opry member's performance in the alley and more. “Friday Night Heartbreaker” is the first anthem Pardi released from his upcoming fifth album. It arrived in September.
“I always enjoy filming with Jim Wright, even if it means being in Printer’s Alley until 2 AM,” Pardi said in a statement. “You really see some wild characters down there at that hour. One of my favorite parts of the shoot was chatting with the actors and actresses who performed the circus stunts—they were amazing! All I had to do was play guitar and drive a cool car while they were over there breathing fire and swallowing swords. It was awesome to watch it all come together!”
Josh Miller, Chris Tompkins, Jessie Jo Dillon, Daniel Ross and Ryan Hurd teamed up to write “Friday Night Heartbreaker,” which Pardi said delivers “hot girl warnings.” Pardi previously said in a statement via his record label that the single “kicks down the door of this next musical chapter.” He said while he responded to questions from fans on his Instagram story over the summer that the record is titled Honkytonk Hollywood; however, the California-born country star has yet to announce the release date as of publication time.
