Macy's has announced the closure of 66 stores across the country including six in Florida.
Macy's-owned stores will be closing in Altamonte Springs, Boynton Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Pembroke Pines and Tampa.
It's part of Macy's "Bold New Chapter" strategy, which was unveiled in February of last year.
The company stated that the plan aims to return Macy's to sustainable and profitable sales growth by closing approximately 150 underperforming stores over the next three years. At the same time, the company plans to invest in its 350 remaining locations through fiscal year 2026.
