LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Adding to a string of vegetation fires prompted by extreme weather conditions, a brush fire is burning at Sepulveda Basin Thursday.
The fire was initially reported at 75 acres just before 4 a.m. Wednesday, at the park located near the Ventura (101) and San Diego (405) freeways, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
As of 11 a.m., the fire had been revised to 30 acres, with 0% containment, but firefighters confined the flames to the area and stopped it from spreading.
Firefighters are on the scene to protect nearby structures.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
