USA Today has named Madison Resort Wildwood Crest the Number One Hotel in America in its 10Best Readers' Choice Awards. The hotel, located in Wildwood Crest, opened its doors in May 2024 and has quickly gained recognition for its luxury and relaxation offerings. Readers praised the hotel's beachfront views, spacious rooms, and top-notch amenities, which include two pools and two restaurants. The resort is situated on the site of the former Oceanview Motel and Royal Hawaiian Motel, which were transformed into the Ocean Tower and Royal Tower, respectively.
Madison Resort Wildwood Crest is the first hotel in New Jersey to receive this prestigious recognition. The project began in 2022 with the acquisition and renovation of the iconic Oceanview Motel, preserving its signature Doo-Wop aesthetic while adding modern luxury. In 2023, the neighboring Royal Hawaiian Motel was acquired and integrated into the resort, creating the largest resort in Cape May County with over 200 guest rooms.
The resort's first year was filled with memorable events, including country music weekends, luaus with fire breathers, and poolside yoga sessions. According to Madison Resort's website, the resort has become a top choice for beachfront weddings and family-friendly activities.
