Close to 30,000 acres of land in Los Angeles were being affected by several fires. More than 100,000 residents are under evacuation orders and five people have died.
The national guard has been called in to help the LA county firefighters because there aren’t enough of them to battle all of these fires. Fires are spreading so quickly because of insanely high wind gusts—one reports said they up to 100 mph— and super dry conditions. There are even reports of fire hydrants running out of water around LA.
