The Last Gasp Of Hair Shines In David Lee Roth's Latest.

Rhino released the video of David Lee Roth's "A Little Ain't Enough," as part of the massive box set that Rhino dropped last week. The song was the title track to what essentially was Roth's last hit album, as it marked his first solo album without Steve Vai who moved on to Whitesnake, so Dave called on the services of young prodigy Jason Becker, who became a shining star playing for Dave in what was one of the last major tours for a hair metal act in the new grunge 90's.

David Lee Roth pushed his new Box Set Anthology with the re-release of his cover of Marion Montgomery's "That's Life," which was made famous by Frank Sinatra in 1965. Dave released the song back in 1986 off his solo debut "Eat 'Em And Smile".

Rhino records unveiled the David Lee Roth box set, called "The Warner Recordings 1985-1994!", which includes his first five solo releases, spanning his solo run away from Van Halen, as "The Warner Recordings 1985-1994", includes 5CD and D2C online, and a special 5LP version available only at Rhino.com.

Roth debuted as a solo artist with the "Crazy From The Heat" as the EP. crashed the Top 15 of the Billboard 200 and reached platinum status, which helped pave the way to the end of his involvement with Van Halen. With a pair of Billboard Hot 100 hits, "Just a Gigolo/I Ain't Got Nobody," and a cover of The Beach Boys "California Girls," which soared to No. 3, making "Crazy From The Heat" one of the biggest releases of that year.

Roth would go solo and release "Eat 'Em And Smile," which hit the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 and went platinum, as Roth recruited an all-star band consisting of bass prodigy Billy Sheehan, session darling Gregg Bissonette on drums, and the Frank Zappa prodigy Steve Vai on guitar. Behind hits like "Yankee Rose", "Goin Crazy", and "That's Life", Roth launched the "Eat 'Em And Smile" tour which became one of the highest grossing tours of the year.

"Diamond Dave," went on to shine as one of the most influential and impactful singers in rock 'n' roll history, who's sold over 70 million records worldwide.
