Poughkeepsie is mourning the loss of Luis Juncosa, a retired City of Poughkeepsie police officer and a dedicated member of the Poughkeepsie Police Benevolent Association (PBA). Juncosa passed away over the weekend, leaving behind a legacy of service and commitment to the community.
Funeral arrangements have been made to honor Juncosa's life and contributions. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, January 13, at William G. Miller and Son Funeral Home, located at 371 Hooker Avenue in Poughkeepsie, New York. The visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The following day, Tuesday, January 14, a burial mass will be held at Holy Trinity Church at 775 Main Street in Poughkeepsie at 10:00 a.m. Juncosa will then be laid to rest at Saint Peter's Cemetery, located at 171 Salt Point Turnpike in Poughkeepsie.
Juncosa is remembered for his decades of service to the city and his steadfast support for the Poughkeepsie PBA. His contributions have left a lasting impact on the community, and he will be greatly missed by family, friends, and colleagues.
