The fifth person suspected of killing Julio Foolio has been arrested after he spent six months evading police.

On Monday, January 6, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced they captured Davion Murphy. In an Instagram post, JSO confirmed their SWAT team, Gang Unit and the US Marshals Service joined forces to capture and arrest the 27-year-old at an apartment on Labelle Street in Jacksonville. After detectives interviewed him, Murphy was booked into the Duval County Pre-Trial Detention Facility.

“This arrest highlights our commitment and perseverance to solving this murder,” said JSO Director of Investigations and Homeland Security Mark Romano. “While it took some time, JSO and partners worked daily to hold these individuals accountable.”

Murphy was one of five suspects who were wanted for their alleged involvement in the murder of the Florida-based artist. He was apprehended several months after JSO and the U.S. Marshals located and arrested his brother Rashad, who was also on the run, at an apartment complex in Jacksonville. JSO Gang and SWAT units tried to negotiate with Murphy for hours before they used tactics to force him out of the building.

The Murphy brothers were captured after the other three suspects Isaiah Chance Jr., 21, Alicia Andrews, 21, and Sean Gathright, 18, were arrested and charged with one count of first-degree murder (premeditated with the discharge of a firearm) and one count of conspiracy of first-degree murder (premeditated with the discharge of a firearm). Davion and Rashad Murphy face charges of first-degree murder, one count of conspiracy of first-degree murder, and three counts of first-degree attempted murder.

Investigators believe all five suspects allegedly worked with members of rival gangs like ATK and 1200 to kill Julio Foolio, born Charles Jones. They claimed the suspects followed Jones to Tampa last July where he celebrated his 26th birthday. Gathright, Rashad Murphy and Davion Murphy allegedly carried out the shooting shortly after Jones brought his birthday festivities to a hotel.

Andrews may face trial in August while Gathright, Chance and Rashad Murphy are reportedly scheduled to stand trial in April 2026. Davion Murphy does not have a trial date yet, but a judge has denied his bond.
