“For so many of us, Dad's gift to the world was music,” says Duane. I'm so happy to come together with some very special friends to honor the depth and beauty of his life and, of course, to share that sweet, melodic sound he is so well known for.”

Tickets go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. ET.

Dickey Betts died on April 18th, 2024 at the age of 80 from cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He'd also had a minor stroke in 2018, that was followed by a fall at home that effectively ended his touring and recording career.

In 2000, the Allman Brothers sent Betts a fax suspending him from the band. Although they blamed poor guitar playing, the widespread assumption was that it was a response to his drug and alcohol abuse. He filed suit against the remaining members of the band and reformed Dickey Betts & Great Southern. He never played again with the Allmans.
