Albany police have arrested a 16-year-old suspect in connection with a stabbing incident that injured two teenagers outside the Abrookin Career and Technical Center on Monday (January 6). The victims, aged 15 and 16, were attacked around 11:55 a.m. as they exited a vehicle near the school entrance. Both suffered non-life-threatening injuries, with the younger teen stabbed in the calf and the older in the bicep. They were treated at Albany Medical Center.

According to CBS6 Albany, the suspect, who knew the victims, initiated a fight before allegedly stabbing them. After the attack, the suspect fled in a vehicle but was later apprehended by officers near Green Street and Westerlo Street.

The suspect faces charges of second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned in Albany County Family Court and released under probation supervision, as reported by WNYT.

Both Albany High School and the Abrookin Center briefly went into lockout following the incident. School officials are cooperating with the ongoing investigation, according to NEWS10 ABC.
