A List: The Most Popular Wedding Dates In 2025

After saying “yes!” to the proposal, the wedding planning begins, and one of the first tasks to check off is to choose the date. While some brides and grooms already know the time of year they prefer to tie the knot, there are still family obligations, work schedules and travel plans to consider.

  • Those planning to get married during the traditional wedding season, which runs from April to October, will also want to know the most popular wedding dates for the upcoming year, since these can make a difference in whether that dream venue and vendors are available.
  • Saturdays are always some of the most requested dates for weddings, but there are some dates that couples are snapping up faster than others.

Wedding planners and astrology experts tell us which dates are the most popular picks for 2025.

  • Dates for beautiful weather - People love to say “I do” when it’s warm outside and this year, many couples seem drawn to June 14th, according to the pros. June 21st, the summer solstice, is another top choice. September 20th and the following Saturday, September 27th, are also popular in 2025.
  • Dates for Numerology - This year, 4/5/25, a Saturday, and 8/8/25, a Friday, are dates many couples want to tie the knot, as are dates with repeating numbers, including 5/25/25 and 1/25/25, both Saturdays. Brides and grooms may also want to consider 3/3/25 and 11/11/25 for their big day.
  • Long weekends - Getting married on a long weekend gives everyone extra time to celebrate, and Labor Day weekend and Memorial Day weekend are top choices.
  • Dates for astrology - Couples looking to the stars for guidance may want dates with the right planetary alignment, like June 10th, when Jupiter is in Cancer. “Jupiter, the planet of luck, growth and prosperity, thrives in Cancer, the sign that rules home and family,” explains astrologer Adama Sesay, adding that it only happens once every 12 years.
  • Wedding dates to avoid in 2025 - Friday the 13th is one because of its association with bad luck, and some prefer to skip October 31st because of Halloween’s spooky aesthetic. When it comes to astrology, Sesay suggests not marrying between March 15th and April 7th, July 18th and August 11th, or November 9th and 29th, because of Mercury retrograde.
