City and state investigations are planned for the terror attack in New Orleans.
Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill announced Monday that she's requested the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation to conduct a probe.
Murrill's office says she consulted with Governor Jeff Landry about the investigation.
Several New Orleans City Council members issued a statement in support of the state investigation, while laying out plans for the council to run its own.
The city investigation will focus on French Quarter security.
