Florida Senator Rick Scott is chomping at the bit to get started on implementing President-Elect Trump's agenda.
"I've got my agenda. I'm going to do everything I can to help Trump's agenda get done. I'm going to get his nominees confirmed and we're going to start fixing this country."
Legislation on the Border, tax policy and energy production are among Trump's priorities. As for Scott's agenda...
"This practice of changing the clocks just doesn't make sense so I'm optimistic."
Scott tells Brian Mudd that wants to get his Sunshine Protection Act passed, which would keep us in Daylight Saving Time year round, once we change the clocks in March.
Florida passed the state's version of the Sunshine Protection Act when Scott was still governor, but it takes an act of Congress to make it happen.
Scott also wants to pass a bill that would mandate that if members of Congress want to be paid, they must pass a budget.
