WEST HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - It took firefighters about 40 minutes to stop the forward progress of a fire that started with a structure and spread to three acres of vegetation in West Hollywood Tuesday, fanned by strong wind gusts.
Firefighters were first dispatched to a structure fire at 10:11 a.m. in the 8400 block of West Sunset Boulevard, near Kings Road, Los Angeles County Fire Department spokeswoman Kaitlyn Aldana told City News Service.
Structure-protection units were staged in the area while other firefighters worked on the brush fire.
The fire's forward progress was stopped at 10:51 a.m., Aldana said.
