LIGHTING OF THE MARDI GRAS TREE - ****UPDATE: Due to unfavorable weather conditions, this event has been moved to January 16th ****Thurs (Jan 16) 6pm-8pm, Mardi Gras Park, Downtown Mobile

Experience the fun, music, and magic that marks the beginning of this festive season, with the Lighting of the Mardi Gras Tree and Brass Band Showcase. The Excelsior Band kicks things off at 6 p.m. The Mayor will light the tree at 6:30 and then the Jukebox Brass Band will perform. The Mardi Gras Mambo, brought to you by Pensacola Mardi Gras, brings you the experience of a Mardi Gras party. This event includes traditional Mardi Gras food, drinks, and entertainment highlighted with Krewe Royalty on stage with Lil Jon and Yung Joc.  CLICK HERE

LODA ARTWALK CELEBRATES NATIONAL PUZZLE DAY- ***CANCELED***Due to inclement weather, this month's LODA ArtWalk and Puzzle Contest has been canceled. There is no makeup day for this event.

City of Mobile Events is fostering creativity, connection and FUN at January ArtWalk by combining art and puzzles. Explore arts and crafts from local vendors, and visit the non-profit zone at the corner of Dauphin Street and S Claiborne Street. Plus, there will also be a puzzle contest!  CLICK HERE  

ART AFTER DARK: Gallery Grooves Edition - Thurs 6:30pm-9:30pm, Mobile Museum of Art, Langan Municipal Park

Enjoy live vinyl-spinning by Mobile Records throughout the gallery as you take in the groundbreaking art in “1960s Hard Edge & Op Art: Tribute to The Responsive Eye”. You can also get creative at the DIY Vinyl Record Decorating Station and take home a personalized record. The Mobile Marathon will feature Full and Half Marathons, a Team Competition (Full and Half), and a 1.2 mile Fun Run. This event benefits the First Light Community of Mobile (formerly L'Arche Mobile), which creates homes where people with and without Intellectual Disabilities share life together.  CLICK HERE   

PENSACOLA ICE FLYERS HOCKEY vs MACON MAYHEM: SAVINGS SUNDAY- Sun 4pm, Pensacola Bay Center
