According to multiple reports, Mexico is apparently concerned that once president-elect Donald Trump returns to office, he may order a military strike against the cartels.
"We cannot allow what the Mexican government has allowed to happen in their country" said Jaeson Jones, retired Texas DPS military captain who now reports for Newsmax, "We have to go after these cartels."
Why? Because these cartels are no longer just 'drug dealers'. They have grown into multi-billion dollar empires with Biden in office, and are now completely out of control.
"What we truly need to attack is what they call the company, and that's the lawyers and accountants, those are the people who run the organization and feed it so that it can survive" Jones told KTRH.
And if Mexico doesn't co-operate, as they should? Then it will be up to Trump to respond accordingly.
"I think president Trump threatening 25% tariffs on the Mexico government is a great start" noted Jones, "That's where we have a lot of leverage that can bring the Mexican government to the table, to start working to fight these cartels."
It's a fight that needs to happen, even if it includes our military.
"Our government is going to have to make the Mexican government want to work with us to go after them" added Jones, "And we are going to have to fight very hard, because the Mexican government hasn't been accountable."
That will change with Trump back in the White House, and Jones says Mexico should be concerned.
