The much anticipated indoor golf league co-founded by Tiger Woods launches this week from a brand new arena at the Palm Beach Gardens campus of Palm Beach State College.
Woods was asked last month about the TGL from his and Rory McIlroy's TMRW Sports group.
"It's gonna be great. This is what we've been shooting for. We're trying to bring a new demographic to this game of golf and it's gonna be exciting."
It's a high-tech golf league that consists of six teams, each made up of four PGA players including Woods on his Jupiter Links Club and McIlroy on the Boston Common Club.
Matches will be played on a virtual course with real grass and giant screens along with a Green Zone, where putts are made into actual holes.
The matches will be telecast in primetime on ESPN weekly with the first one airing tomorrow night at 9 p.m. That one features the New York and Bay Golf Clubs, with names like Rickie Fowler and Shane Lowry teeing off.
The TGL season runs from January 7 through March 4 and there will be a postseason as well, and every match is played at the brand new SoFi Arena at Palm Beach State College.
