Is there anything more comforting on a chilly winter day than a warm bowl of soup, perhaps enjoyed nestled by a crackling fireplace or cozied up under a blanket in front of the TV with your favorite movie playing on the screen? And with flavors ranging everywhere from classic tomato bisque or herby chicken noodle to hot and sour Tom Yum or cheesy broccoli and cheddar — or anywhere in between — there are endless possibilities to get your soup fix.
According to a list compiled by Yelp, the best soup in all of North Carolina can be found at Bida Manda, with the site recommending the pork belly soup. The dish served at this popular Laotian restaurant in Raleigh is described as the eatery's "most comforting dish," with a coconut curry broth loaded up with plenty of delicious toppings like noodles, peanuts and crispy pork belly. As one Yelp reviewer raved: "The pork belly soup is the best soup I've ever had and highly recommend."
Bida Manda, located at 222 S. Blount Street, has a 4.7 star rating on Google and more than 2,200 reviews.

"This is an all-time list of the top spots for soup in each state according to Yelp. We identified businesses in the food and restaurants categories with a large concentration of reviews mentioning 'soup,' then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning 'soup.'
