Hershey Bears' Teddy Bear Toss Set for Sunday

The Hershey Bears' annual Teddy Bear Toss is scheduled for Sunday (January 5) at 3 p.m. during their game against the Providence Bruins. Fans are encouraged to bring teddy bears and other stuffed animals to throw onto the ice after the Bears score their first goal. These donations will benefit over 35 local charities, including Schreiber Pediatric and Vista Autism Services.

The event, held at the GIANT Center, is part of the Hershey Bears Cares initiative. Last year, the Bears set a world record by collecting 74,599 stuffed animals. This year, the Sweigart Family Foundation will donate to the Children's Miracle Network, matching the number of stuffed animals collected.

For those unable to attend the game, a collection truck will be available outside the GIANT Center from 12-3 p.m. on game day. Non-ticketed guests can also drop off donations, though a parking fee is required. Fans can follow the event on social media using #TeddyBearTossHershey and #HersheyBearsCares, or watch the game broadcast on Antenna TV, WPMT 43.2, and AHLTV on FloHockey.
