Cope Celebrates New Year's By Releasing Prisoners?!

A Zambian police officer was arrested after releasing 13 suspects that were in custody while he was drunk on the job.

Detective Inspector Titus Phiri seized keys at Leonard Cheelo police station in Lusaka and freed prisoners accused of crimes including assault, robbery, and burglary to celebrate the new year. All 13 suspects are now on the run, and a manhunt has been launched. Phiri has not released a statement, but he has been detained himself.

We all have had that walk of shame moment after a crazy New Year's, but this guy may have had the mother of all screwups.

Talk about starting New Year's with a bang!
