Jennifer Lopez is leaving her past and complicated relationship in the rearview as she looks ahead to the new year while recapping her eventful 2024 in a new video,
The "On the Floor" singer shared a 2024 recap video on her Instagram on Monday (December 30), per Page Six. Simply captioned "2024" and set to an orchestral arrangement of her song "Waiting For Tonight," Lopez reflected on the past year through a montage of some of her biggest moments of 2024, from various red carpet appearances and performances to meeting fans and spending time with her family, including her 16-year-old twins Max and Emme, who she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
However, one major part of her life was left out of the recap — her romance with her now-estranged husband Ben Affleck. The Good Will Hunting actor was notably absent from the video as Lopez seemingly chose to focus more on her accomplishments and positive experiences rather than her rocky relationship. She filed for divorce from the Argo director in August, after two years of marriage.
"I am very proud of how I handle all the things," she said in one clip, while in another she declared, "In my low moments, I've learned to just feel the feelings and then let them go."
Even after dealing with heartbreaking personal hardships, Lopez is still "full of love" and excited for what's to come in the new year.
"What a journey this has been. I honestly feel that the best is yet to come," she said. "I can sit here with my heart and soul intact and still feel really full of love... It's gonna get better, and it always does. It's a beautiful life in that way."
