Ye's fans are excited about possibly receiving a new solo album from him in the New Year.

On Monday, December 30, several fan pages began posting a photo of the artist formerly known as Kanye West in the studio. The image shows him standing by a piano with black shades on looking slimmer than usual. Fans are convinced the photo stems from a recent studio session for his upcoming album Bully.

"The piano is back, the pecs are back, the shades are on. Yeah…BULLY will be Ye’s greatest album to date. Mark these words," one fan declared on X.

Ye first announced his new solo album back in September during a massive listening event in China. At the time, the revered rapper and producer confirmed the title and performed two songs from the project, "BEAUTY & THE BEAST" and "PREACHER MAN." He didn't confirm a release date for the album, however, he took to social media a month later and shared the intended album cover. In the now-deleted post, Ye said the image, which appears to be his son Saint smiling with titanium grills, was shot by famed Japanese photographer Daidō Moriyama.

“BULLY cover by Daidō Moriyama," he wrote.

Bully would be Ye's first solo album since he dropped Donda in 2021. According to journalist Touré, the 47-year-old artist is the sole producer of the LP and has been working on it during his time in Japan.

“It’s a concept album and he plans to be the only producer on it," Tour said. "Traditionally, Kanye is the product of a team, there are producers helping him, there are writers helping him, he comes with the big ideas but there’s others in. Not this time. This time, Kanye is gonna make this pretty much by himself. A fresh chapter in his life because in Tokyo he can be who he wants to be.”

It's not clear exactly when Ye will drop Bully, but fans are hoping it's sometime in t2025 Hopefully it won't turn out to be like his previous planned projects like Yandhi, TurboGrafx 16 or the third installment of his VULTURES album with Ty Dolla $ign. For what its worth, VULTURES 3 hasn't been completely ruled out yet, but it still does not have a release date even after the previous editions were released as promised.
