Louisiana State Police are investigating a one-car crash in Livingston Parish that killed a teenage driver on Saturday night.
Troopers responded around 8 p.m. to the accident on State Highway 1019 near Gravesbriar Drive. Investigators say 17-year-old Jonathan Orellana-Alas of Denham Springs was eastbound on the highway when he ran off the road and hit a power pole.
Orellana-Alas was wearing a seatbelt but died at the scene.
Impairment is not believed to be a factor in the accident.
