A severe weather threat stretching across three states has prompted a tornado watch that includes parts of southeast Louisiana through 3pm today.
Parts of the state have already seen a handful of tornado warnings this morning.
"The potential for a significant severe weather event continues to increase for our area today and into the early morning hours tomorrow," said the local National Weather Service office in a post on Facebook. "The entire area has the possibility of seeing severe weather with the southwest Mississippi counties now under a moderate risk (level 4 of 5)."
Sunday's forecast calls for improving conditions with afternoon highs approaching 70 degrees.
