The Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse is hosting its annual Noon Year's Eve event on Tuesday (December 31). This family-friendly celebration allows children to enjoy the excitement of ringing in the new year without staying up past bedtime. Festivities begin at 10 a.m. with a dance party and fun photo opportunities in the zoo's banquet room.
The first 1,000 guests will receive complimentary party hats and horns, courtesy of a partnership with Tops Markets. At 11:45 a.m., attendees will gather in the zoo courtyard for a ginger ale toast and a countdown to the noon ball drop. After the celebration, guests are encouraged to explore the zoo grounds, which will remain open throughout the day.
According to the zoo's website, the event is free for zoo members and included with regular admission for non-members. Friends of the Zoo Executive Director Carrie Large expressed excitement about the event, stating, "Noon Year’s Eve gives children the chance to experience the joy of ringing in the new year before bedtime."
