Deni Avdija finished with 27 points, eight rebounds, and six assists and Shaedon Sharpe scored 27 points on 11-of-18 shooting as the Portland Trail Blazers edged the Utah Jazz 122-120 Thursday night at Moda Center.
Scoot Henderson had one of his best games of the season. He recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 assists and connected on the go-ahead jumper with 0.1 seconds remaining to give Portland (10-20) the win.
Lauri Markkanen led Utah (7-22) with 25 points and Colin Sexton finished with 19 points and 11 assists.
The Jazz built a 10-point lead at 94-84 with 10:25 remaining, but Portland had a quick response.
Donovan Clingan's tip-in finished off 11-straight points for the Trail Blazers as they regained the lead at 95-94 with 8:18 remaining.
Later in the fourth, Sharpe would score to push Portland's advantage to five at 120-115 with just under a minute remaining.
Markkanen would tie the game with a three-pointer with 14 seconds on the clock. Nate Bjorkgren decided not to call timeout and let the action continue. The possession resulted in the game-winner for Henderson.
Coach Bjorkgren was filling in for Chauncey Billups. It was reported earlier on Thursday that Coach Billups would miss two-games due to passing of his grandmother. Mattie Billups was 90 years-old.
Portland shot 50.6% from the field and outscored Utah 50-36 in the paint.
