FLORIDA - Most major retailers, grocery stores, and banks in South Florida will be closed on Christmas Day, with limited options available for essential services and dining.

On Christmas Day, many businesses and services across South Florida will be closed in observance of the holiday.

Major retail stores and shopping centers will not be open on Christmas Day.

Walmart locations will be closed, reopening at 6 a.m. on December 26.

Target stores will also remain closed, resuming operations at 7 a.m. the following day.

Other big-name retailers such as Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s, and IKEA will be closed as well, alongside department stores like Macy’s.

For grocery shoppers, most major chains will not be operating.

Publix, ALDI, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Sam’s Club, and Sprouts Farmers Market will all keep their doors shut on December 25th.

Those planning to stock up on food and essentials should complete their shopping before the holiday.

Pharmacies and convenience stores offer some exceptions, though hours may vary.

Many CVS Pharmacy locations will operate on normal hours, but some non-24-hour stores may either reduce hours or close for the day.

Walgreens stores will be open, with most locations operating from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

However, 24-hour Walgreens locations will maintain their regular hours.

Convenience stores like 7-Eleven are generally open on Christmas Day, but some locations may have adjusted hours.

A few restaurant and coffee chains will remain open for the holiday, though their hours may vary by location.

Many Starbucks locations will welcome customers on Christmas, but it’s advisable to check the store locator online for specific hours.

McDonald’s will also have many locations open, though hours will differ, so confirming with the local store is recommended.

All major banks, including Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo, and Citibank, will be closed in observance of the federal holiday.

While physical branches will not be accessible, ATMs and online banking services will remain available for transactions.

Public transportation services in the region will operate on a holiday or Sunday schedule.

Residents are encouraged to check with local transit authorities for specific times.

Emergency services, including hospitals, police, and fire departments, will continue to operate 24/7 to address any urgent needs.

Given the extensive closures on Christmas Day, residents are advised to verify the operating hours of essential services or stores in advance by visiting official websites or contacting locations directly.
