Texans updates: DE Will Anderson Jr. good to go, TE Cade Stover back

HOUSTON – Texans Pro Bowl defensive end Will Anderson Jr. was removed from the injury report and is good to go for a Christmas Day game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Anderson was limited for one practice this week with a hand injury that was wrapped up heavily at practice this week.

Starting linebacker Christian Harris (ankle) participated fully and has no injury designation.

Backup defensive end Denico Autry is questionable with a knee injury, but is expected to play after being limited in practice all week.

Rookie tight end Cade Stover has no injury designation and participated fully twice this week in his return from an emergency appendectomy that kept him out against the Miami Dolphins. Stover traveled with the Texans for their road loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, which is an encouraging development in his recovery.

Texans wide receiver John Metchie III has no injury designation after missing the Chiefs game with a shoulder injury and he is ready for the Ravens game.

The Texans officially ruled out defensive tackle Foley Fatukasi (ankle), offensive guards Shaq Mason (Grade 2 sprained MCL, per sources, out three to four weeks) and Juice Scruggs (foot). None of them practiced this week.

The Texans elevated wide receiver Jared Wayne, who has been extremely distraught after accidentally colliding with wide receiver Tank Dell on his devastating knee injury against Kansas City, from the practice squad as well as cornerback D’Angelo Ross.

Wayne has no catches or targets in two games as an elevated player. This is his third and final elevation from the practice squad.

Ross, a former New England Patriots player, has 13 tackles in eight games this season with two starts. He has 24 career tackles.

The Texans are expected to start Jeff Okudah as an outside corner and shift rookie Kamari Lassiter to nickel as the replacement for Jimmie Ward, who’s out for the season and will undergo foot surgery.

They are expected to start Kendrick Green at right guard in place of Mason.
