Liam Payne's Girlfriend Debuts Sentimental Tattoo 2 Months After His Death

Liam Payne's girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, has debuted a sentimental new tattoo paying tribute to the One Direction alum two months after his tragic death.

The 25-year-old influencer shared a photo on her Instagram Stories on Sunday (December 22) that showed off the pair of angel wings inked on her index and middle fingers in what is seemingly a way to honor her late boyfriend, per People, who shared a photo of the since-expired pic. With a red heart emoji placed over the image, Cassidy can be seen with her arms wrapped around her dog, Nala, who she and Payne adopted just a month before his death.

The angel wings appear to be a tribute to the "Strip That Down" musician, who she previously called her "angel" while breaking her silence on his unexpected passing. Payne died October 16 at the age of 31 after falling from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was later laid to rest last month in an emotional service in England where friends, family and his fellow 1D bandmates gathered to say their goodbyes.

Earlier this month, Cassidy shared a video giving fans a look into her relationship with the late 1D singer, whom she dated for two years prior to his passing. She also penned a heartbreaking tribute to her boyfriend remembering "the love of [her] life."
