This was a big year for live music and sporting events and StubHub is telling us the shows and games people saw most. Their annual Year in Live Experiences report has just come out, revealing their best-selling events and artists of the year.
- The “Gig-Tripping” trend was huge in 2024 - U.S. buyers traveled to international events twice as much this year and international buyers traveled to U.S. events 32% more.
- This year’s top in-demand global sporting event was the World Series, followed by Super Bowl LVIII (58), the European Championship: Semifinals and Final (soccer), the Copa América Semifinals and Finals (soccer) and the NBA Finals.
- It’s probably no surprise that the top in-demand global artist of 2024 on StubHub is Taylor Swift, with 116 events.
- She’s StubHub’s number one global touring act for the second year in a row, thanks to the “Eras Tour.” Her final show in Vancouver was the highest-selling show of 2024.
