The U.S. Border Patrol says an illegal immigrant who is a member of the dangerous international gang Tren de Aragua has been arrested in Palm Beach.

The name of the Venezuelan national was not released by the Chief Border Patrol Agent but the agent stated, in a social media post featuring the suspect's mug shot, that he has a criminal record for assault with a deadly weapon.

A search of Palm Beach County jail records indicates the man is Miguel Moreno Contrera. He was arrested back in March for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and released on bond.

No word on whether he was picked up in connection with that arrest or a new crime, but the Department of Homeland Security confirms a 19-year-old individual was taken into custody this week and transferred to ICE.

DHS has previously said Tren de Aragua is operating in 16 states across the U.S.
