The former Superintendent of the Fort Bend Independent School District has filed a lawsuit against the district, for defamation and breach of contract.
Dr. Christie Whitbeck was forced out at the end of last year, shortly after she was unanimously given a contract extension and a raise. She then signed a VRA (voluntary retirement agreement) which required the FBISD and it's trustees, to not make negative comments about her.
But according to the lawsuit, they have breached that agreement, with Whitbeck hiring the law firm of Tritico Rainey.
This is a developing story.
