Chronister Changes Mind About DEA Post
(Tampa, FL) -- Hillsborough County's sheriff won't be heading to Washington, DC after all. Chad Chronister said yesterday he no longer wants to head the Drug Enforcement Administration. President Trump announced Saturday he selected Chronister to lead the agency. Chronister, though, says since then, the gravity of this very important responsibility set in. He adds there's more work to be done for the citizens of Hillsborough County, and he looks forward to continuing to serve as sheriff. Trump has not announced a new pick for the DEA job.
Fort Lauderdale Settles Lawsuit With Woman Hurt During Protest
(Fort Lauderdale, FL)-- A Broward County woman can finally say she got justice. That's what LaToya Ratlieff said yesterday after the Fort Lauderdale City Commission voted to settle her lawsuit for about two million dollars. She sued the city for injuries she suffered during a protest four years ago. A police officer fired a rubber bullet that hit her in the eye and broke her eye socket. Mayor Dean Trantalis says he's very sorry for what happened, but he's happy to resolve the matter. Ratlieff tells NBC 6 it feels like a very huge weight has been lifted off her shoulders.

Gallup: Majority Of Workers Looking Out For New Jobs
(Washington, DC)-- A majority of employees have an eye out for a new position, and more and more workers feel detached from their jobs. That's according to a new Gallup survey. It found that 51-percent of workers asked are looking out for or actively seeking a new position. Just 18-percent said they're "extremely" satisfied with their current job. Worker satisfaction is at a record low, and people are looking for new jobs at the highest rate since 2015.
